i remember when...
i never thought i'd ever say those words, but i can't help it.
anyway, i remember when you could have pizza delivered for free. and, it would be guaranteed to be there in less than 30 minutes or you'd get it for free. i miss those days. a lot. due to the whole garlic fingers fiasco this afternoon (thanks t), i was craving garlic fingers all afternoon so, true to my word, i ordered some. of course, they won't just deliver garlic fingers because there's a minimum order amount so i also ordered a pizza. lunch for tomorrow, i thought. so all of a sudden, an $8 garlic finger supper turned into $27. pizza, garlic finger for $16.99 - what a deal. but since i had it delivered, there was a delivery charge. and of course, a tip. and since the world is so dangerous, i rarely carry more than $10 cash so i had to pay with my ATM card. apparently they charge for that too on delivery. this whole experience makes me want to dust off my thesis on customer service and consumer behaviour and send it to the pizza place. but i won't. i'll just add it to my list of restaurants i'll never order from again.
and what's up with dr. pepper? i don't have a problem with any doctors. and i love pepper and red/green/yellow/banana peppers. but i can't stomach dr. pepper. maybe there's no direct link. but if there's not, it's a poor choice of a name. don't you think?
ok. now you say something.

Dr. Pepper is my ex-boyfriend. He's a jerk, but he's sweet. Sweet in a prune juice sort of way.
wow! you dated dr. pepper? i find that both fascinating and odd at the same time. sort of the way i feel about the shriners. or at least their parades.
a donair is an east coast canadian food. basically, it's a piece of pita bread with the sweet (donair) sauce and thinly sliced spicy beef (there's an art to slicing the beef correctly... one i mastered before i grew up and got a semi-real job). it typically comes with tomato and onions.... some people add lettuce and pepperoni as well (you know... sick-o's).
i can't stand donairs actually, but they're very popular 'round here. i will admit that donair meat is delicious. it's the sauce that ruins it for me.
garlic fingers are delicious, by the way.
holy crap. my blog is boring.
now i'm thinking re-reading it wasn't such a good idea afterall. i've gotta get a life so i have something worth writing about. like that time i did that thing with those people. how come i never do stuff like that anymore? am i getting too old? too unattractive? do i lack personality? is it my freakishly long arms? what?
i think i'm gonna start my own charity.
donairs sound scary in an intriguing way. are they sort of like wannabe gyros? just, beef instead of lamb, and garlic instead of cucumber? sweet garlickiness also sounds scary.
your blog is is not the most boring blog ever. and you don't have to have a life to have a blog, although some will argue that they preclude one another.
but anyway you can always say something about anything. you should start a blog that's about one thing. just one thing. and always find things to say about that one thing. and see how long it takes for you to really truly have aboslutely no thoughts about or tangents spawned from thoughts about that one thing. like every time i go to walgreens (do you have walgreens drug stores) i have something new to blog about. whether it is worth reading or not, i don't know. but it's fun to write.
your blog reminds me of that article, by the one author, about those things.
and it is your freakishly long arms, by the way.
in conclusion, have a good day.
